The WAVE-AI-08 is a software license that adds AI stream processing capability to Hanwha Wisenet WAVE network video recorders. It enables intelligent video analytics on eight (8) concurrent streams without per-year subscription or maintenance fees — the license is perpetual and covers all future software updates at no additional cost.

Overview

Deploy this license on a compatible WAVE recorder when you need object detection, classification, or edge-based AI analytics across multiple camera feeds simultaneously. The WAVE-AI-08 model number unlocks processing for up to eight streams; if your deployment requires fewer streams or more, select the appropriate WAVE-AI variant for your channel count. The license does not include camera licenses — those are purchased separately and must be paired with compatible camera subscriptions on the same recorder.

Compatibility

The WAVE-AI-08 is compatible exclusively with Hanwha Wisenet WAVE series recorders: WRR-P-S202(X), WRR-P-S204(X), WRR-P-S206S, WRR-P-S206S1, and WRR-P-A models. Verify your recorder model number before purchase — this license will not activate on non-WAVE recorder platforms or standalone VMS systems. Installation requires the recorder to be running a compatible firmware version; consult the recorder's system requirements documentation to confirm your unit can accept AI plugin licenses.

Installation Notes

Activation is performed through the WAVE recorder's web interface or management console. The license key is applied at the system level and allocates AI processing resources to the specified number of streams. Once activated, all subsequent software updates and feature enhancements are included — no renewal, no downtime licensing checks, and no annual seat fees. If your analytics load grows beyond eight streams, you will need to purchase an additional higher-capacity WAVE-AI variant and replace this license.
