The module operates at 850nm wavelength with duplex LC connectors, conforming to SFF-8472 and IEEE 802.3z standards for guaranteed port compatibility across Vivotek and third-party SFP-equipped network switches.
Compatibility
The SFP-1000-MM13-02 is compatible with any Vivotek IP camera or network video recorder featuring a standard SFP port, as well as enterprise-grade managed switches supporting 1.25 Gbps SFP transceivers (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet, and others using SFF-8472-compliant slots). Confirm your switch or camera's SFP cage accepts multimode modules at 850nm; do not mix single-mode and multimode fiber on the same link. The module's DDM (Digital Diagnostic Monitoring) feature via I2C enables real-time optical signal monitoring through compatible management interfaces, useful for long-distance fiber runs where insertion loss tracking prevents silent link degradation.
Installation Notes
Fiber cabling must match the module type: use OM2 (50/125µm) or OM1 (62.5/125µm) multimode fiber cables with LC duplex connectors.
