Overview
The Viking Electronics W-3005 is a flush- or surface-mount handsfree doorbox with a built-in color video camera, engineered for entry points that take abuse — loading docks, secure lobbies, correctional facilities, and any exterior door where vandalism or weather exposure is a real concern. The marine-grade 316 stainless steel faceplate and hardware resist corrosion well beyond what standard 304 SS handles, making this unit appropriate for coastal installations or wash-down environments. IP66-rated and tested to 100% condensing humidity (EWP), it handles direct rain without degradation. The push button switch is internally sealed to IP67, so submersion-level moisture won't compromise the call function even when the enclosure face takes a direct hit from a hose.
The built-in 420-line color camera covers a 100° diagonal field of view with ±20° vertical tilt and ±30° horizontal pan adjustment — enough range to compensate for non-ideal mounting positions without relocating conduit. Camera power runs on 6–22V DC at 150mA, and maximum wire run is 1,000 feet, keeping it usable across large facilities without a signal amplifier. One CAT 5e cable handles both audio and video, simplifying the rough-in.
