The W1000-EWP is a flush-mount or surface-mount handsfree doorbox engineered for outdoor installations where standard weatherproofing falls short — think covered entryways that still collect condensation, loading dock doors exposed to wash-down splatter, or exterior vestibule intercom points in high-humidity climates. The key differentiator over the standard W-1000 is the EWP (Enhanced Weather Protection) treatment: internally-sealed push button switches and gel-filled butt connectors instead of a standard terminal block, letting the unit handle up to 100% condensing humidity versus the 95% non-condensing ceiling on the base model. That distinction matters in coastal, industrial, or any installation where the unit will see prolonged moisture exposure rather than incidental rain.
