Description

ACTi PDCX-1104 Vandal-Proof Dome Cover

Overview

The ACTi PDCX-1104 is a vandal-proof smoked dome cover designed to protect ACTi professional dome cameras from physical damage and tampering while maintaining visibility of the installed optics. This accessory pairs directly with the B9xA, B910, and B914 series indoor domes, plus the E61x, E621, E89, E81x, and E822 outdoor and specialty models. The smoked construction reduces direct light reflection that can attract unwanted attention to the camera location—a practical detail when you're trying to avoid obvious surveillance indicators in retail or hospitality environments.

Compatibility

The PDCX-1104 is engineered for seamless fit with ACTi's professional dome family: B9xA series (all variants), B910, B914, E61x series, E621, E89, E81x series, and E822. Confirm your exact camera model against this list before ordering—dome covers are not interchangeable across different manufacturers or mounting styles. If your installation uses a different ACTi series or a third-party dome, this cover will not fit.

Installation Notes

The dome cover installs directly onto the existing camera housing without removing internal components or disrupting network connectivity. No tools beyond standard hand pressure are required. Ensure the camera is mounted and powered before installing the cover. The smoked acrylic design is durable but not impact-resistant in the same way the cover itself provides impact protection to the underlying dome—treat the cover as a protective shell, not as the sole defense against deliberate strikes or high-impact vandalism. For maximum longevity in outdoor installations (E-series models), clean the smoked surface monthly with a soft, lint-free cloth and mild soap to maintain optical clarity.
