Overview
The PDCX-1111 is a replacement or upgrade vandal-proof smoked dome cover engineered to shield the optics and lens assembly on ACTi fixed dome cameras. Install this where your camera faces public areas with foot traffic, high-contact zones, or environments where impact or intentional obstruction is a realistic threat. The smoked polycarbonate material darkens the dome while maintaining light transmission to the sensor — making the camera's line of sight harder to read from a distance, which deters the casual attempt to block or redirect the lens.
Compatibility
This cover is designed for the ACTi E918, E918M, E923, E923M, E936, and E936M fixed dome camera series. Verify your camera model against this list before ordering — dome covers are not cross-compatible across different ACTi product families. The PDCX-1111 mounts directly to the dome assembly on these models with no adapter plates or rework required.
Installation Notes
The smoked dome cover installs as a direct replacement or retrofit to the existing clear dome on your E918/E923/E936 camera. Because it is a passive mechanical component (no power, no electronics), installation requires only removing the existing dome carefully and seating the PDCX-1111 in place using the same mounting points. The smoked material will reduce ambient light reaching the sensor by approximately 10–15% compared to a clear dome — account for this in your lighting design if the camera is deployed in very low-light scenes without infrared illumination. The cover does not alter the camera's field of view or lens performance.
