Overview

The PDCX-1110 is a smoked dome cover for ACTi B7x and I7x series cameras. It mounts directly onto compatible domes to obstruct line-of-sight to the camera lens, defeating casual tampering and field-of-view obstruction—a cost-effective way to prevent lens spray-paint, tape, or physical blocking in high-vandalism environments. The smoked polycarbonate material maintains optical clarity for the camera (recordings continue uninterrupted), while appearing opaque from outside—critical for retail stores, transit stations, or outdoor installations where you need active surveillance without telegraphing exact aim points.

Compatibility

Fits ACTi B7x and I7x series dome cameras only. Verify your camera model number before ordering—this cover is not compatible with other ACTi lines or third-party dome housings. Installation requires the camera to already be mounted in its factory dome base.

Installation Notes

The PDCX-1110 clips or screws onto the existing dome cover of your B7x or I7x camera. No tools beyond a screwdriver are required. Once installed, ensure the smoked cover does not obstruct camera tilt or pan if your camera supports those movements. Check that the cover does not trap dust or condensation against the lens—ensure adequate airflow ventilation around the dome. Verify camera image quality after installation to confirm no internal fogging or optical artifacts have developed.
