Overview
The Middle Atlantic UQFP-2D is a 2U active rack fan panel engineered for thermal management in enclosed AV and security equipment racks where noise is a constraint. Rated at 50 CFM, the UQFP-2D moves enough air to protect densely loaded racks — NVRs, switchers, amplifiers — while keeping acoustic output to 24dB, making it suitable for conference rooms, control rooms, and NOCs where fan roar becomes a distraction. The built-in LED display gives you at-a-glance airflow and temperature status without pulling a laptop. Input is 120V AC; the panel internally converts to 5VDC for the fan motors, so no separate DC supply is needed. At 19 inches wide and 3.4 inches deep, it drops into any standard EIA-310 rack without side-panel conflicts. Brushed black anodized finish matches Middle Atlantic rack enclosures and accessory panels natively.
Compatibility
Designed to install in any standard 19-inch EIA-310 rack rail system occupying 2U of space. Fits Middle Atlantic rack enclosures including the ERK, RK, BGR, and WM series — any enclosure with standard 19-inch rail spacing and adequate rear depth. Also compatible with third-party racks from Chief, Eaton, Chatsworth, and similar manufacturers provided the rail-to-rail depth accommodates the 3.4-inch panel body. The 2-point front mounting matches standard rack screw patterns. Not designed for network switch cabinets with side-cable management that reduces usable panel depth. Verify rear clearance on shallow-depth wall enclosures. Not available for international use (120V only, no 240V variant).
Installation Notes
Mount using the 2 included rack-ear attachment points — standard M6 or 10-32 cage nut hardware depending on your rail type (not included). Panel draws 120V AC; route a standard IEC or NEMA power connection to the rear. With a shipping weight of 4 lbs, the panel is light enough for single-person installation. Do not obstruct rear exhaust path — maintain a minimum 1U clearance above or below for adequate airflow return. TAA-compliant sourcing not available on this SKU; confirm procurement requirements before ordering for government projects.
