Overview
The UQFP-4RA is a 2RU active rack thermal management panel from the Middle Atlantic line, deploying four fans across a standard 19-inch rack opening to move 100 CFM of airflow through densely loaded AV and security equipment enclosures. Proportional speed control adjusts fan RPM to actual thermal load — fans run slower and quieter during idle periods, ramping only when heat output rises. This matters in low-ambient environments like boardrooms, control rooms, or NOC spaces where a fan panel running at full blast defeats the purpose of a quiet enclosure. The UQFP-4RA draws 120V AC and converts to 5 VDC for fan operation; no separate power supply or controller required. No display panel means a cleaner rack face where visual simplicity is specified.
Compatibility
Designed for standard 19-inch rack enclosures taking 2RU of panel space. Compatible with Middle Atlantic rack enclosures and equipment racks from any manufacturer conforming to EIA-310 19-inch rack standards. The panel mounts via two mounting points (standard rack ears), making it a direct drop-in for any open 2RU slot requiring active cooling. Suitable for AV equipment racks, security NVR/DVR enclosures, network closets, and similar installations where thermal management is needed without occupying a full 3RU or larger blower bay. Not rated for international AC voltages — 120V North American installations only.
Installation Notes
Mounts in any standard 19-inch rack at 2RU. Depth is 2.96 inches (7.5 cm) — verify rear clearance against deep chassis or cable management arms before ordering. The panel ships at 4 lbs; account for that in total rack load calculations. Two mounting points secure the panel; use standard rack screws appropriate to your enclosure's rail type. Not TAA compliant — federal procurement projects subject to Trade Agreements Act requirements should source an alternative. No thermistor sensor is included; the proportional speed algorithm is self-contained within the panel's control circuit.
