Middle Atlantic UQFP-2 2RU Ultra Quiet Rack Fan Panel

Overview

The UQFP-2 is a 2RU, 50 CFM active fan panel designed for standard 19-inch rack enclosures where thermal management must stay quiet — AV control rooms, security head-end closets, and any rack installation where audible fan noise is unacceptable. At a rated 24dB, it moves enough air to protect heat-sensitive gear (NVRs, switches, encoders) without the constant background drone of conventional cooling fans. The unit draws 120VAC input, conditions it down to 5VDC for the fan motor, and occupies just 2RU of rack space at 3.4 inches deep — shallow enough to fit in mid-depth enclosures without conflicting with rear cable management. Black brushed and anodized finish matches standard Middle Atlantic rack aesthetics.

Compatibility

Designed for standard 19-inch EIA rack enclosures with a 2RU opening. Compatible with Middle Atlantic rack enclosure families including the ERK, BGR, and WRK series, as well as any third-party 19-inch rack that provides 120VAC utility power within reach of the panel's power connection. The 2-point rack mounting pattern aligns with standard 10-32 or 12-24 rack rail thread. No thermistor is included — speed control is fixed, so if your deployment requires variable fan speed based on internal temperature, pair this panel with a separate temperature controller or choose a Middle Atlantic fan panel variant with integrated thermistor control.

Installation Notes

Requires a 120VAC outlet inside or adjacent to the rack — the panel is not PoE powered and does not accept DC input from external sources. At 3.4 inches deep, confirm rear clearance before installing in shallow-depth enclosures. Two rack mounting points are provided; ensure both are engaged to prevent vibration-induced noise that would defeat the purpose of an ultra-quiet fan selection. Unit is not TAA compliant and not available for international shipment.
