• Temperature Operating Limits: The -20 to 40°C rating is conservative for climate-controlled interiors but excludes unheated outdoor covered areas, parking structures, or loading docks in cold climates. For edge-of-building or frost-prone zones, pair with supplementary heater or relocate the controller to a warmer interior anchor point.
• Humidity Tolerance (20–90% Non-Condensing): Standard indoor range. High-humidity spaces (kitchens, bathrooms, greenhouses) require active moisture management. Condensation inside the polycarbonate housing risks fogging the lens and corrosion of the camera's electrical connectors.
• NVR Controller Proximity: PoE 802.3af power budget is tight over long runs (100 m cable loss is ~5–8 %). For ceiling-mounted installations in large open-plan spaces, stage the PoE injector or switch in a nearby wiring closet to minimize voltage drop and avoid under-powering the G3 Flex.
