Ubiquiti UP-CHIME WiFi Connected Chime
The Ubiquiti UP-CHIME is a WiFi-connected audio notification device designed to pair with UniFi Protect doorbell deployments. It solves a specific problem: homes and buildings without existing wired chime infrastructure or with chime systems incompatible with UniFi Protect doorbells. The UP-CHIME plugs into any standard wall outlet and broadcasts doorbell events wirelessly across your network.
Compatibility
The UP-CHIME integrates with the UniFi Protect ecosystem and is managed entirely through the UniFi Protect mobile and web applications. Requires UniFi Protect version 2.0 or later (web), 1.6.2 or later (iOS), or 1.6.0 or later (Android). Pairs with UniFi Protect doorbell hardware via WiFi on your UniFi network—no separate wireless protocol or pairing dongles needed. Works with standard enterprise WiFi infrastructure and guest SSIDs, provided the chime maintains network connectivity within range of your access points.
Installation Notes
Deploy the UP-CHIME within WiFi range of your UniFi network and plug into a standard 120V wall outlet. Onboarding occurs through the UniFi Protect App: select the device during provisioning and assign it to the correct location. No wiring, no special tools, and no compatibility checks required beyond confirming your UniFi Protect controller and mobile app versions meet the stated minimums. The lightweight form factor (0.350 lb) makes repositioning straightforward if coverage is poor in the initial location.
