Description

Ubiquiti AMO-5G13 5GHz Omnidirectional MIMO Antenna

Overview

The AMO-5G13 is a carrier-class 5 GHz omnidirectional antenna delivering 13 dBi gain with dual-linear 2x2 MIMO performance. Deploy this when you need 360° coverage from a single mounting point — no sector gaps, no blind spots. Designed for point-to-multipoint (PtMP) networks, the AMO-5G13 pairs directly with Ubiquiti Rocket BaseStations to establish seamless omni-directional coverage patterns across distributed subscriber locations. Typical deployments: wireless ISP (WISP) tower setups, telecom backhaul rings, and enterprise campus mesh networks where avoiding sector boundaries matters.

Compatibility

Integrates with Ubiquiti airMAX Rocket BaseStations and UISP platform devices via standard N-type connectors. Confirmed compatible with point-to-multipoint airMAX configurations. Works in 5.45–5.85 GHz frequency band. Mount on tower or rooftop infrastructure with standard mounting hardware.

Installation Notes

Omnidirectional pattern demands clear 360° sky view — obstruction in any quadrant degrades coverage and introduces nulls. Wind loading rated to 84.52 N at 200 km/h (125 mph), suitable for most tower installations but verify local wind codes. Fixed 2° downtilt is factory-set; adjust elevation by mechanical mount tilt only. Maximum VSWR 1.5:1 requires proper cabling and connector care — high VSWR indicates poor connections or damaged feed lines. Dual-linear polarization supports 25 dB minimum cross-pol isolation; maintain consistent polarization across subscriber units to avoid isolation loss.
