The RE105 is a 300Mbps wireless range extender designed to expand Wi-Fi coverage in spaces where a primary access point's signal degrades or drops. It operates on the 2.4GHz band and supports IEEE 802.11n, making it suitable for extending connectivity to areas of warehouses, storage facilities, or office environments where Wi-Fi dead zones limit device mobility and integration flexibility. The unit bridges existing networks without requiring new infrastructure runs.
The RE105 works with any standard Wi-Fi network using 802.11n or legacy 802.11g/b standards on the 2.4GHz frequency. It is not compatible with dual-band routers' 5GHz channels. Verify your primary access point supports 2.4GHz operation before deployment. The extender pairs via WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) or manual SSID/password entry.
Position the unit midway between the primary access point and the coverage gap to maximize signal pickup and rebroadcast effectiveness. The 300Mbps throughput rating assumes optimal signal conditions; actual throughput typically drops 30–50% due to shared airtime between receive and transmit chains. Do not expect full-speed performance at extended range. The extender requires a standard AC outlet; no PoE option is available. Mount on a shelf, desk, or wall-mounted surface away from metal enclosures or RF-noisy equipment.
