The varifocal range lets you dial in the exact horizontal coverage needed without swapping optics — critical when you're retrofitting into spaces with variable setback distances. H.265+ encoding cuts bitrate by 50% versus H.264, reducing storage burn on 24/7 recording. IR reach extends to 60 meters with smart IR compensation (avoids overexposure on near subjects), and IP67 + IK10 ratings handle outdoor mounting, direct rain, and vandalism-grade impact.
Compatibility
The INSIGHT S445ZI integrates with TP-Link VIGI NVRs and third-party ONVIF-compliant systems (Profile S, T, G). It supports VIGI app mobile monitoring, web-based remote access, and RTSP streaming to enterprise VMS platforms. PoE input (802.3bt) powers the camera directly from PoE switches or injectors — no separate 12V supply needed on PoE-capable infrastructure. Backup 12V DC option available for non-PoE installations.
