Overview

The ER706W-4G is an Omada-managed dual-WAN gateway combining WiFi 6 (AX3000), hardwired Gigabit Ethernet, and 4G+ LTE Cat6 fallback into a single edge device. Deploy this where you need redundant connectivity—branch offices, remote warehouse sites, or mobile command centers—with centralized management via the Omada SDN controller. The model integrates 1 SFP WAN/LAN port, 1 RJ45 WAN port, and 4 Gigabit LAN/WAN ports, meaning you can load-balance traffic across fiber, copper, and cellular without swapping hardware.

Compatibility

The ER706W-4G integrates into any Omada network running the Omada Controller (cloud or on-premises). Pairs with Omada access points (EAP series), managed switches (TL-SG series with Omada support), and other Omada gateways for multi-site deployments. Supports standard VPN protocols—IPSec, OpenVPN, WireGuard, L2TP, PPTP, and GRE—so it connects to legacy VPN appliances and modern zero-trust architectures. The 4G+ modem is provisioned via Nano SIM slot; compatible with carriers supporting LTE bands B1, B3, B5, B7, B8, B20, B28, B32 (EU/Asia-Pacific) and B38, B40, B41 TDD bands. Verify carrier band support before deployment.

Installation Notes

Mount the ER706W-4G on a desk or wall using the included hardware. The detachable antennas—three WiFi (5 GHz at 5.5dBi, 2.4 GHz at 4.5dBi) and two LTE (4.0dBi omnidirectional)—can be repositioned for optimal signal in tight or multi-story spaces. Power via 12VDC/2A adapter; operating temperature range is 0–40°C, so avoid unheated outdoor cabinets. Gigabit ports support up to 100 m copper runs (Cat5e or Cat6); SFP WAN port accepts standard Gigabit SFP modules for fiber. Insert the Nano SIM flush into the slot—no external tray needed. Configuration happens through the Omada Controller dashboard or local web UI.
