The EAP615-WALL is a wall plate–form wireless access point engineered for in-wall deployment in office perimeters, conference room boundaries, and warehouse environments where surface or ceiling-mounted units create visual clutter or physical obstruction. It delivers AX1800 throughput (1,201 Mbps on 5 GHz + 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz) over dual-band 802.11ax and mounts directly into standard electrical junction boxes—US 2-gang, 1-gang, EU 86 mm, or equivalent regional cutouts. Power arrives via a single PoE input (802.3af/at), eliminating the need for AC outlet proximity and simplifying retrofit installations in spaces where power distribution is constrained. The EAP615-WALL includes PoE passthrough on ETH3, allowing you to power a downstream client device (802.3af or 802.3at compatible) without running separate power infrastructure.
Integrates with TP-Link Omada SDN controllers and management software for centralized provisioning, roaming policies, and guest networks. Works in mixed Wi-Fi 6 deployments alongside other EAP6xx-series access points on the same Omada network. Connects to any PoE-enabled network switch or PoE injector supplying 802.3af minimum (13W typical); 802.3at PoE+ input required if you intend to power a downstream 802.3at device via ETH3 passthrough. Two standard Gigabit Ethernet ports (ETH1 and ETH2) support wired client connections from the wall cavity; network backhaul runs through ETH0 (PoE IN).
Requires pre-installed wall junction box with running-in-wall Ethernet cable already routed to a PoE switch or injector. Use the enclosed Phillips screwdriver and mounting bracket to secure the device to the junction box—standard US boxes use top and bottom holes; EU and 86 mm boxes have alternate mounting points. Do not over-tighten screws. Position the Ethernet cable to avoid strain. No external antennas; internal antenna placement within the wall plate constrains directional coverage—site survey is recommended for optimal placement in dense or multi-story deployments. Verify local electrical codes and box compatibility before installation.
