ACTi VMGB-351 Thermal and Optical Bullet Camera
Overview
The VMGB-351 is a dual-sensor thermal and optical bullet camera designed for perimeter defense and fire prevention in industrial and outdoor environments. It combines a thermal imaging module with an optical network camera, both integrated into a single bullet form factor. The built-in GPU runs deep learning algorithms for line crossing, intrusion detection, and area enter/exit analysis—critical analytics for fence lines, loading docks, and restricted zones. Thermal imaging provides 24/7 fire detection independent of ambient lighting, addressing a significant blind spot in standard surveillance: early flame and heat signature recognition before smoke is visible.
Compatibility
The VMGB-351 is a standalone network camera compatible with any ONVIF-compliant VMS (Video Management System) or NVR that supports dual video streams. It does not require proprietary software or a dedicated ACTi recorder, though it integrates with ACTi's surveillance platform. Verify your NVR or VMS supports simultaneous thermal and optical streams before deployment—some systems cap analytics processing on dual-feed inputs.
Installation Notes
The bullet housing is designed for outdoor wall or soffit mounting. Unit weight is approximately 5.75 lbs—verify your mounting surface can handle standard bullet brackets. Taiwan origin, CE and FCC compliant. Ensure network switch infrastructure supports dual-stream HD bandwidth per camera if deploying multiple units. Thermal sensors require clear line of sight to monitor areas; obstructed or reflective surfaces degrade fire detection accuracy.
