System Sensor MDL3W 12/24V Sync-Circuit Module
Overview
The MDL3W is a 12/24V DC sync-circuit module that coordinates timing and signal delivery across networked fire alarm and integrated security system devices. It accepts 120 VAC input and regulates it to stable 24V DC output, making it suitable for installations where multiple SpectrAlert Advance horns, strobes, horn strobes, and chimes must fire in synchronized sequence. Use this module in multi-zone fire alarm architectures or ECS (Emergency Communication System) deployments where device synchronization prevents audio and visual signal overlap, reducing annoyance and improving occupant response clarity.
Compatibility
The MDL3W works with System Sensor SpectrAlert Advance two-wire devices, including horns, strobes, horn strobes, chimes, and chime strobes. It is compatible with both indoor and outdoor mounting contexts via the mounting plate design. The module integrates into modern fire alarm panels and networked security systems using 12/24V DC logic circuits. Verify compatibility with your specific panel or control module before ordering, as sync-circuit modules are often panel-dependent.
Installation Notes
The MDL3W mounts via plate and requires 120 VAC input wiring to its power terminals. The plug-in design eliminates ground-fault risks during installation. Operating voltage tolerance is 12–24V DC; confirm your panel outputs within this range. The module supports end-of-line supervision on connected devices. Mount in an accessible location near the panel or within the device circuit you intend to synchronize. No special tools are required beyond standard electrical wiring preparation.
