Overview

The AP7990 is a switched rack-mountable power distribution strip designed for three-phase 208V AC input environments where you need per-outlet remote switching without deploying a full UPS. At 64 inches long and occupying a slim 1U-compatible profile (1.73" high × 2.19" wide), it mounts horizontally in standard EIA racks — the right fit for dense server or network equipment rows where individual outlet control matters for reboot-without-walking-the-floor workflows. The AP7990 delivers 120V output and supports both 50 and 60 Hz installations, making it usable across North American and select international rack deployments where 208V three-phase power is already provisioned at the PDU feed.

Compatibility

Designed for standard EIA 19-inch rack enclosures with adequate depth for the 64-inch strip and a 10-foot input cord. The three-phase 208V input requires a matching facility power feed — confirm your rack's PDU feed before ordering, as this unit will not operate on single-phase 120V or 240V feeds. The 120V output is suited to standard IEC or NEMA receptacle loads including network switches, IP camera NVRs, access control servers, and similar rack-mounted security infrastructure. Certifications include UL Listed, cUL Listed, FCC Part 15 Class A, and ICES-003, covering both US and Canadian installations. Operating elevation is rated to 10,000 ft — suitable for most facility deployments including elevated data centers and mountain-region installations.

Installation Notes

Input cord is 10 ft — measure rack-to-PDU-tap distance before installation; a short run can force awkward cable management in tall cabinets. Operating temperature range is 32°F to 113°F (0°C to 45°C); storage extends to -13°F/-25°C. Mount horizontally in the rack using the integrated strip form factor. For switched outlet management, network connectivity configuration will be required post-mount — consult APC's setup documentation for outlet group assignment and SNMP or web interface provisioning.
