Description

i-PRO WVCS584 650 TVL Analog Dome Camera

Overview

The WVCS584 is a 650 TVL analog surveillance dome built for hybrid analog-IP facilities and legacy coaxial infrastructure. It solves the mixed-lighting problem—capturing usable detail when bright windows and dark corridors exist in the same frame—through Super Dynamic 6 technology, which delivers 128× (NTSC) to 160× wider dynamic range than conventional analog cameras. This eliminates manual iris adjustment and secondary lighting. The motorized 3.3–119 mm lens (36× optical zoom, 720× with digital zoom) frames distant subjects from a single mount point, reducing total camera count on large campuses. A 1/4-inch interline transfer CCD sensor with 0.5 lx color sensitivity (F1.4) and 0.04 lx B/W (F1.4) operates effectively in near-darkness without sensitivity artifacts that degrade legacy VMS playback. The WVCS584 is coaxial-native, requiring no IP infrastructure or network reconfiguration.

Compatibility

Outputs analog composite video over standard coaxial cable or RS485 data protocols (Panasonic and Pelco P/D compatible). Integrates with any analog DVR, hybrid analog-IP recorder, legacy multiplexer, or switcher that accepts 650 TVL NTSC/PAL composite video. Requires 24 V AC power, compatible with existing analog camera power distribution systems in surveillance racks or wall-mounted PSUs. The 256 preset positions and VMD (Video Motion Detector) with 8×6 masking areas support integration with analog control systems and tape-based VMS workflows. Pan/tilt commands via coaxial or RS485 enable automated multi-zone patrol patterns without operator intervention.

Installation Notes

Operating range of –10°C to +50°C (14°F to 122°F) supports temperature-controlled warehouses, retail back rooms, unheated loading docks, and service areas. Pan/tilt speeds reach 400°/s in preset mode for rapid repositioning during setup, with 0.065°/s fine control for smooth manual tracking. Mount options include wall, ceiling, pendant, or rack installations using included brackets. Adaptive 2D and 3D digital noise reduction suppresses low-light grain without overprocessing. Electronic shutter from 1/100 (NTSC) to 1/10,000 s prevents overexposure in bright scenes. CD-ROM includes operating instructions (PDF) and multilingual interface support (English, French, Italian, Spanish, German, Russian, Chinese, Japanese).
