The i-PRO WVCW504S is a compact vandal-resistant fixed dome designed for indoor and semi-outdoor deployments where impact resistance and environmental durability matter. This unit handles the mechanical stress of high-traffic corridors, entry points, and retail environments where accidental or intentional contact with the camera housing is a real risk. The Super Dynamic 5 imaging platform delivers wide dynamic range performance without the halo artifacts that plague cheaper WDR implementations — meaning usable detail in mixed-light scenes (bright windows against dim interiors) where standard cameras produce blown-out or crushed footage. Mount it on walls or ceilings and wire it via standard PoE; no separate power supply required.
Compatibility
The WVCW504S integrates with ONVIF Profile S and Profile T compatible video management systems, including Milestone Xprotect, Genetec Security Center, and other ONVIF-standard NVRs and recording platforms. It supports H.265 and H.264 codec output, allowing flexibility in storage architecture — H.265 cuts bitrate roughly in half compared to H.264 on equivalent quality, a meaningful factor when deploying dozens of cameras on limited network bandwidth or storage. Firmware updates and management are handled through i-PRO's standard ONVIF device discovery and provisioning workflow.
