STI WRP2-G-11 Waterproof ReSet Call Point Controller
Overview
The WRP2-G-11 is a waterproof reset call point designed for emergency communication systems deployed in harsh, moisture-heavy environments—oil rigs, ships, factories, wash-down zones, and food processing areas where broken glass is a safety and regulatory risk. Unlike traditional glass-break call points, the WRP2-G-11 mimics the tactile feedback of breaking glass (positive action, audible feedback, visual deterrence) while using a polycarbonate enclosure and mechanical reset mechanism. Once activated, an indicator flag drops into view; a simple key turn at the bottom of the unit resets it for immediate reuse. IP67 rating confirms protection against dust and water jets—meaningful for outdoor covered areas and splash-prone interiors where moisture ingress would compromise a standard call point.
Compatibility
The WRP2-G-11 integrates with most conventional fire alarm systems and emergency communication networks. It operates as a hardwired switch element, compatible with control panels and monitoring systems that accept standard call point inputs. Terminal conductor size ranges from 0.5mm to 2.5mm, supporting flexible wiring configurations in retrofit and new installations. Electrical rating is 3A at 12–24V DC (series 02 and 11) or 3A at 125–250V AC, so verify your panel's voltage and current capacity before ordering—a 3A draw is modest for most modern panels but worth confirming on legacy systems.
Installation Notes
Surface-mounted installation with 20mm conduit entry points eliminates the need for flush-mounting or custom cavity work. No glass elements to break or misalign during installation—a practical safety advantage for field crews. The polycarbonate construction carries a three-year breakage guarantee in normal use; electromechanical and electronic components are guaranteed one year. Key reset mechanism means end users cannot damage the unit through repeated activation cycles.
