Overview
The STI-14300NC is a low-profile universal stopper designed to protect intercoms, emergency stations, keypads, and communication devices in indoor and outdoor environments. This accessory combines a thick polycarbonate cap with an included backplate for flush mounting into standard wall boxes or surface-mounted enclosures. Operates at 24VDC and meets ADA low-profile dimensional requirements, making it suitable for commercial buildings, emergency call stations, and access control installations where aesthetic integration and vandal resistance are concurrent needs.
Compatibility
The STI-14300NC works with manual fire alarm stations, numeric keypads, intercom stations, emergency buttons, electrical light switches, and power outlets. The included backplate accommodates flush installation into standard electrical boxes and sealed waterproof enclosures. The upper and lower portions of the waterproof housing accept ¾-inch rigid conduit connections. Compatible with 24VDC power supplies typical in access control and intercom systems. The mounting configuration supports both recessed (flush) and surface-mounted applications depending on enclosure selection.
Installation Notes
The backplate seats into standard electrical boxes or waterproof conduit housings with ¾-inch rigid conduit threads on top and bottom. Gaskets are included for sealed installations. The low-profile design complies with ADA standards and minimizes protrusion from the wall surface. An optional relay output supports 12–24VDC control functions. Do not use the locking tab on fire alarm stations due to life safety compliance requirements. UV-stabilized polycarbonate maintains clarity through extended outdoor exposure. The device ships ready to mount—no additional hardware fabrication required.
