STI STI-14020CR Low Profile Intercom with Integrated Horn
Overview
The STI-14020CR is a flush-mounted, low-profile intercom station designed to protect access control endpoints, emergency communication buttons, and entry keypads against vandalism, accidental impact, and environmental contamination. Operating at 24VDC, the STI-14020CR pairs a polycarbonate protective enclosure with an integrated 105dB horn for audio alerting—solving the installation problem of needing a compact, protected endpoint that handles both communication and notification without adding separate equipment. The low-profile form factor meets ADA compliance standards and fits standard fire alarm and building automation infrastructure footprints.
Compatibility
The STI-14020CR integrates with access control systems, emergency communication networks, and intercom installations requiring a vandal-resistant protective station. It supports mounting in flush (recessed), surface, and sealed weatherproof configurations—compatible with standard building conduit (¾" rigid conduit threads on top and bottom of the waterproof enclosure). The custom label option accommodates facility-specific wayfinding or emergency instructions. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor deployments where UV-stabilized polycarbonate and sealed gasket protection are required.
Installation Notes
The enclosure offers three mounting configurations: flush-mounted (recessed into wall), surface-mounted, or weatherproof sealed installation. The waterproof variant includes internal sealed mounting plates; rigid ¾" conduit can be threaded into both the top and bottom knockouts for vertical or horizontal wiring runs. Integrated polycarbonate hinge and mechanical lock tab (note: lock tab should not be used on fire alarm stations). 24VDC power supply required for horn operation; relay output is optionally available with 12–24VDC supply. UV-stabilized polycarbonate resists yellowing and maintains transparency for labeling visibility. Gasket seals are included.
