Overview
The STI-14420FR is a low-profile protective stopper designed to shield emergency intercommunication devices, fire alarm stations, emergency buttons, keypads, and access control equipment from vandalism, accidental damage, and environmental exposure. Operating on 24VDC with integrated horn capability, this unit combines a reinforced polycarbonate cover with an enclosed, sealed back box—solving the deployment challenge of protecting high-traffic or exposed emergency devices while maintaining accessibility for legitimate users.
Compatibility
The STI-14420FR integrates with intercom stations, emergency communication systems, and access control interfaces that operate on 24VDC. The sealed enclosure accommodates standard door-frame and vestibule installations. Mounting is available in low-profile dome configuration, compatible with surface-mount, recessed, and weatherproof installation scenarios. The sealed back box design supports both interior and exterior deployments where environmental protection against moisture, dust, and weather infiltration is required. Works within integrated security architectures using 24VDC auxiliary device circuits.
Installation Notes
The unit features a rigid polycarbonate enclosure with UV-stabilized material to resist discoloration and maintain transparency over time. The sealed back box has ¾-inch rigid conduit threaded connections at top and bottom, accommodating standard electrical rough-in. Low-profile design meets ADA compliance standards. Gaskets are included. An optional relay output supports 12–24VDC auxiliary signaling. The integral latch mechanism is present but should not be used on fire alarm applications. The unit is available with or without a 105 dB integral siren. Label options ("In Case of Fire..." and custom signage) are available; horn/cover colors include red, green, blue, yellow, white, and black.
