Overview
The STI-14410FR is a low-profile protective enclosure designed to shield manual fire alarm stations, numeric keypads, intercom stations, emergency buttons, and electrical switches from vandalism, accidental damage, dust, and aggressive indoor or outdoor environments. This model ships without an integrated horn, giving integrators control over audio configuration. The unit operates on 24VDC and features an enclosed back box that accommodates standard mounting on flush or surface-mount installations. The polycarbonate cover resists UV degradation and maintains clarity for label visibility.
Compatibility
The STI-14410FR fits most standard fire alarm stations and access control devices with a footprint matching common low-profile mounting templates. The enclosed back box accepts rigid ¾-inch conduit connections at both top and bottom for secure wiring runs. Compatible with 24VDC relay outputs (12–24VDC optional relay exit available) for integration into legacy and modern intercom/access control systems. Low-profile mounting satisfies ADA clearance requirements where shallow wall protrusion is mandated. Seals and gaskets are included for weathertight installation.
Installation Notes
Mount the STI-14410FR to a vertical surface using the internal mounting template provided. The enclosed back box requires two conduit entries: secure rigid ¾-inch conduit into the top and bottom female threads. Do not use the integral locking tab on fire alarm applications—the tab is designed for non-life-safety device protection only. Polycarbonate cover hinges are high-strength and full-width; no additional hinge hardware is required. Apply included gaskets between the cover and back box to maintain IP-rated sealing in outdoor or wet-wall environments. Wire 24VDC power to terminals inside the back box; optional relay output is field-configurable.
