Overview
The STI-13400NB is a protective polycarbonate enclosure designed to shield intercoms, emergency stations, numeric keypads, and fire alarm manual stations from vandalism, accidental damage, dust, and aggressive indoor or outdoor environments. The enclosed back box configuration allows flush (recessed) or surface mounting, with the housing sealed to protect against water ingress where needed. Operating at 24VDC, the unit integrates directly into standard access control and intercom infrastructure without requiring separate power infrastructure.
Compatibility
The STI-13400NB works with STI intercom stations, emergency communication endpoints, fire alarm pull stations, numeric entry keypads, and light switches or outlet covers in access control deployments. The back box is dimensioned to fit most standard manual alarm stations and visitor communication devices. Mounting options accommodate varied cabinet heights, widths, and depths; confirm your specific endpoint form factor against STI mounting dimension documentation before ordering to ensure proper fit.
Installation Notes
The enclosed back box includes threaded ports on top and bottom for ¾-inch rigid conduit connections, supporting both surface-mount and flush-mount (wall-embedded) installation. Gaskets are included for weatherproof seals. The polycarbonate cover is UV-stabilized to resist yellowing in outdoor or high-UV environments. A low-profile design complies with ADA dimensional standards. An optional relay output supports 12–24VDC auxiliary triggering. The latch tab on the cover is not suitable for fire alarm stations (fire code compliance requires unobstructed manual activation).
