Surface mounting of button types 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 (which includes the SS2209 series) requires ordering KIT-71100A in the matching color; the standard mounting plate may be discarded in surface-mount configurations. Wire the 30VDC supply and strike control signal per your access control panel's terminal diagram — confirm voltage polarity before energizing. Spanish labeling on the button face supports operator compliance in bilingual facilities.
