The SS22A6EX-EN is a hardened push-button station with integrated protective shield, sized for emergency egress and access control applications where environmental protection and vandal resistance matter. It operates at 30VDC and mounts via standard installation practices — the shield design keeps weather, dust, and accidental contact from degrading performance in high-traffic or exposed mounting locations. Use this when you need a single-door release button that won't fail from environmental stress or casual impact.

Compatibility

Operates with 30VDC magnetic lock strike assemblies. The button works with standard electromagnetic lock control systems and integrates into single-door access control deployments requiring manual emergency release or button-actuated unlock. Mounts using 3/16-inch diameter mounting holes per standard installation practices. Compatible with flush-mount and surface-mount configurations — flush mounting requires the standard 12mm worldwide mounting plate (KIT-102720-*), while surface mounting of this button type may require KIT-71100A-* back box depending on your enclosure depth requirements.

Installation Notes

NEMA TYPE 23 enclosure rating provides 1-1/4 inch depth when anchors are not used — measure your available wall recess before ordering. Dimensions are 6.36 inches wide by 3.22 inches high. Installation includes a drill template and mounting hardware; service pin and additional mounting options are available separately (KIT-319 or equivalent). Verify 30VDC supply adequacy at the control panel before wiring — insufficient voltage will prevent reliable strike release.
