Overview

The SS2029EM-EN is a push button station assembly with integrated protective shield, designed for door control and emergency egress applications. It operates at 30VDC and works with magnetic lock strikes to hold and release doors on command. The shield housing protects the button mechanism from impact and provides visual feedback in high-traffic entry points — essential where repeated use or environmental stress can degrade unshielded push buttons.

Compatibility

The SS2029EM-EN integrates with 30VDC magnetic lock strike systems and standard door frame installations. It is compatible with access control panels and emergency egress circuits that source 30VDC. The assembly fits both flush and surface mounting configurations — flush mount uses the standard 12mm worldwide mounting plate (KIT-102720, supplied), while surface mount installations require the KIT-71100A back box. Extended depth installations (for certain button variants) may require an additional 12mm spacer kit. Verify your specific button type against mounting documentation before ordering additional hardware.

Installation Notes

Mounting depth without anchors is 1-1/4 inches. The assembly measures 6.36 inches wide by 3.22 inches tall. Flush installations use the supplied KIT-102720 mounting plate; surface mount requires KIT-71100A (not included — order separately if surface mount is your target). For extended depth scenarios, add KIT-71101B spacer. Drill 3/16-inch-diameter holes for fastening. NEMA Type 23 rating provides basic environmental protection suitable for indoor commercial and industrial door openings. Ensure 30VDC power supply capacity supports the magnetic strike amperage before installation.
