Description

STI SS2104XT-EN Stopper Station Green Momentary

Overview

The SS2104XT-EN is a green momentary-action stopper station rated for 30VDC magnetic lock systems. It provides tactile, color-coded operator control in doorway and entryway access control installations where you need a hardwired push button to signal door strike release or emergency egress. Green color signals normal passage (as opposed to red emergency stations). The momentary contact action means the button returns to its resting state immediately after release — no latching or held state — which is the standard for door-release buttons in commercial and institutional facilities.

Compatibility

The SS2104XT-EN integrates with any 30VDC magnetic lock strike system, including both fail-safe (power-to-lock) and fail-secure (power-to-unlock) configurations. It is compatible with standard access control panels and door controllers that support momentary relay outputs or direct wiring to magnetic lock circuits. Mounts directly to electrical boxes and framing using the included 12mm worldwide mounting plate (KIT-102720) supplied standard with all button types. For surface-mounted installations beyond flush-mount configurations, optional mounting kits are available: KIT-71100A for standard surface mounting, or KIT-71101B for extended depth surface mounting on button types 0, 1, 3, and 4 series stations.

Installation Notes

The SS2104XT-EN ships with flush-mount hardware; the 12mm mounting plate (KIT-102720) is included. Requires two 3/16-inch diameter mounting holes for standard electrical box installation. If surface mounting is required, KIT-71100A-colored replaces the flush-mount kit (KIT-102720 can be discarded). Extended surface mount (KIT-71101B) adds additional enclosure depth for certain button types when wall cavity depth is limited. Wiring: momentary contact closure to 30VDC magnetic lock strike or access control panel relay output. No polarity-sensitive connections needed for momentary signaling — standard two-conductor wiring.
