STI STI-7505 Keypad Reader Smoke Enclosure
Overview
The STI-7505 is a protective smoke-tinted enclosure designed to mount over existing keypad readers in access control systems. It serves a specific anti-tailgating function: the smoke tint obscures the PIN entry from shoulder-surfers and bystanders, preventing visual interception of credentials while allowing the operator full view of the keypad itself. Install it in high-traffic entry points—office lobbies, server rooms, secure doors—where you need to prevent unauthorized credential observation without replacing the underlying reader hardware.
Compatibility
The STI-7505 mounts to the G750098 gasket assembly and fits standard keypad geometry. It is compatible with credential-based access control systems using PIN or keypad entry. Verify that your existing keypad unit accepts the G750098 gasket and that your installation space permits the enclosure footprint (8.75 in. × 6.75 in. × 4.75 in. front face). The smoke finish is matched to the STI-7504 clear variant—choose based on your security requirement: smoke for PIN privacy, clear for full visibility.
Installation Notes
Mount over the existing keypad using the supplied anchors and hardware. Mark and drill six 3/16 in. (4.7 mm) diameter holes to 7/8 in. (22 mm) depth at the locations shown in the installation guide. Remove the gasket backing paper and apply to the mounting surface. Secure with six #8 × 1 in. screws (provided). The gasket perimeter may be trimmed after installation if needed for clearance. Clean the enclosure with water and mild detergent using a soft cloth—do not scrub or use razor blades. For grease or paint removal, use a cloth dampened with naphtha, then wash and rinse.
