The STI-9846 is a damage stopper controller designed to protect smoke detection equipment from intentional or accidental interference in security-critical installations. It integrates into existing facility security and access control architectures to monitor and safeguard smoke detector integrity, preventing tampering that could compromise fire detection reliability.

It is suitable for facilities using System Sensor beam units and reflective mirror assemblies as part of comprehensive smoke detection networks. The controller operates within standard professional security installation protocols and integrates with existing surface-mount and flush-mount electrical conduit systems commonly deployed in commercial and industrial environments.

Installation Notes

Installation requires four #10 x 1.5 inch screws for mounting into existing electrical conduit anchor points. The protective wire guard and clamp hardware (H19020 clamps, four provided) can be positioned on the side, top, or bottom of the detector unit depending on site constraints. Periodic cleaning of the beam smoke guard is required to prevent dust and debris buildup that could degrade detection performance. When servicing, back off the four mounting screws, rotate clamps, and carefully remove the wire guard to access the detector unit. Reinstall with equal care to maintain proper alignment of the reflective mirror with the transmitter unit before returning the system to service.
