Overview
The STI-SA5500-R is a compact alert controller built to signal emergencies and breaches across secured spaces — warehouses, server rooms, manufacturing floors, access-controlled entries. It pairs a piercing siren (your choice of 100 dB or 85 dB) with high-intensity LED strobe (round red lens) and runs on 9VDC battery or external 12–24V power. This is a physical alert appliance meant to install on walls or inside cabinets where you need immediate human attention when a door is breached, tamper detected, or emergency triggered. The 32 user-selectable tones let you configure distinct alarm patterns for different threat types — cabinet intrusion, perimeter crossing, system fault — without rewiring.
Compatibility
The STI-SA5500-R integrates with access control systems and emergency notification platforms via its Form C dry relay contact output (rated 12VDC, 50mA). Wire the relay into your access control panel's alarm input, door strike circuit, or networked notification gateway. Works with any system that accepts a dry contact trigger — no proprietary protocol required. Pairs with STI controllers, third-party access control panels, and IP-based notification hubs that monitor relay state changes. The unit itself draws power independently (9VDC or external 12–24V supply), so it does not tax your system's power budget.
Installation Notes
Mount on a wall or inside a cabinet using the provided bracket. Include a tamper switch (N.C., 12VDC, 50mA output) wired to your access control panel to trigger an alert if the unit is removed. Operating temperature range: 32°F to 120°F — suitable for indoor spaces only; outdoor mounting will void the unit. Position the red lens lens where sightlines are clear so the strobe is visible across the protected zone. Wire the Form C relay contacts to your system's alarm input, respecting the 50mA contact limit — do not exceed this rating or the relay will fail prematurely.
