Overview

The STI KIT-GFA-BB is a red back box enclosure designed to protect larger, weather-exposed devices like manual call points and surveillance equipment from harsh environmental conditions, vandalism, and accidental operation. This protective cover kit is specifically intended for wall-mounting scenarios, providing a robust shield to extend the operational life and reliability of critical infrastructure components. The KIT-GFA-BB model includes two ½" NPT plugs for sealing unused conduit entries.

Compatibility

This back box is designed for use with larger devices, including STI's Weather Stopper II line. It is suitable for protecting manual call points and can accommodate various surveillance devices when paired with appropriate mounting hardware. The 9VDC voltage specification relates to optional sounder units, not the enclosure itself.

Installation Notes

Installation involves positioning the frame over the device, marking and drilling four fixing holes (using a 7mm masonry drill bit recommended for wall mounting), and securing the frame with provided screws. A weather gasket should be positioned over the device before securing the frame. For surface installations, the included spacer inserts can be used to blank off unused cable entry holes. The enclosure is designed for wall mounting.
