STI STI-1212 Open Back Box for Stopper® Dome Series
Overview
The STI-1212 is an open back protective box designed for the Stopper® Dome series. It provides a polycarbonate enclosure that shields fire alarm devices and manual call points from environmental exposure, tampering, and accidental operation while maintaining full access to the protected device. The frame mounts directly over the alarm device with four fixing points, creating a tamper-evident housing that extends equipment life in harsh indoor and outdoor environments.
Compatibility
The STI-1212 is compatible with the Stopper® Dome series, including models STI-1200, STI-1230, STI-1100, and STI-1130. It also supports larger weather-exposed devices via the optional STI-1250 and STI-3150 Weather Stopper II variants. Verify your specific device model against the Stopper family documentation before ordering to ensure proper frame fit and gasket selection.
Installation Notes
Position the protective frame centrally over the device and mark the four fixing hole locations. Drill using a 7mm masonry drill bit. Secure the frame to the mounting surface with the supplied wall fixings. Select and install the appropriate cable gasket for your wiring configuration — multiple gasket options are available to accommodate different cable entry systems. For surface-mounted installations, use the provided inserts to blank off unused cable entry holes. The unit operates at 9VDC and does not restrict legitimate device operation, including optional battery-powered integral sounders rated at 120 dB.
