Overview
The STI-7510B is a clear polycarbonate protective enclosure with an enclosed back box and double-gang strike configuration. It mounts directly over already-installed electronic strikes or door lock devices to shield them from vandalism, accidental contact, and environmental exposure. The UV-stabilized polycarbonate body allows full visibility of the mounted hardware while the tamperproof mounting screws and optional secondary eyelet (for padlock or safety seal) add layered protection. Install this where you need to protect strike plates, annunciators, fire alarm control panels, or remote access devices in high-traffic or public areas without completely obscuring the unit from view.
Compatibility
The STI-7510B integrates with standard access control and door lock installations where strike plates or electronic devices are already wall-mounted. It is compatible with installations using the STI-7520OB (key lock variant) and STI-7521OB (thumb lock variant) protective cabinet designs, sharing the same mounting footprint and backbox geometry. Double-gang mounting accommodates typical door frame strike installations and allows positioning over previously mounted control devices without removal or reinstallation. Confirm that your existing strike or device fits within the enclosure opening before order.
Installation Notes
The enclosure comes complete with external mounting tabs and tamperproof mounting screws. Wall-mount using the provided hardware — no special tools required beyond a drill and screwdriver. Polycarbonate operating range is −40°F to 250°F (−40°C to 121°C), so performance in deep cold or direct heat exposure is acceptable for covered outdoor or indoor locations. The clear construction allows the mounted device to remain fully visible and operational without removing the enclosure.
