Overview

The EF100806-O is an injection-molded polycarbonate credential reader housing rated for 7-door access control configurations. This enclosure delivers durable environmental protection for access control equipment deployed in indoor and outdoor institutional, commercial, and industrial settings. The RAL 7035 gray finish resists cosmetic degradation in high-traffic areas while maintaining professional appearance. Installation Notes

Cut conduit entry holes using Greenlee-style hole cutter tools. The enclosure accepts ½-inch through 2-inch diameter conduit hubs with corresponding hole size specifications: ½ inch hub requires 7/8 inch hole; ¾ inch hub requires 1 1/16 inch hole; 1 inch hub requires 1¼ inch hole. For metallic conduit, secure the connector hub to conduit first, then insert into the prepared hole and lock with connector locknut, followed by grounding bushing attachment per Canadian Electrical Code requirements. Non-metallic conduit does not require grounding bushing but must be aligned to prevent unnecessary stress on enclosure walls. The sound output is rated at 44dB(A) under standard operating conditions.
