STI UB-2PN 2" Universal Pneumatic Button
Overview
The STI UB-2PN is a 2-inch wired pneumatic button designed for magnetic lock strike control in access control and door security installations. It operates at 30VDC and provides both fail-safe and fail-secure mode wiring configurations, making it suitable for retrofit and new deployments where pneumatic actuation is required alongside electronic credential readers. The UB-2PN integrates into multi-reader or multi-door systems where button-triggered strike release is part of the overall access architecture.
Compatibility
The UB-2PN is compatible with standard access control wiring and relay-based control systems operating at 12–24 VAC/VDC. It works with magnetic lock strike equipment and can be paired with contact relay sets and reset switch configurations. Integrators using LT-1 timer modules or LT-1 UL PCB boards can wire the UB-2PN into fail-safe or fail-secure door latch timer circuits. The button accommodates dual contact sets (NO/NC) for flexible integration with existing panel wiring and lock logic. Compatibility extends to systems requiring message LED indication and door lock reset functionality.
Installation Notes
Mount the UB-2PN using #6-32 x 5/16" Phillips pan-head screws (two provided). Wiring operates on 12–24 VAC/VDC supply voltage; verify your strike power supply matches this range. In fail-safe mode, configure the relay and contact sets so the strike releases on power loss. In fail-secure mode, the strike remains locked until button activation energizes the lock coil. Route wires through the case base and secure using appropriate solder jumper points if traces are cut. Installer must comply with NFPA 70, 72, NEFC, mounting specifications per ARDA and applicable local codes. This product is not a substitute for panic hardware and must not be used as primary emergency egress control.
