Deploy this where you need instant confirmation that a strike is energized or in fail-safe/fail-secure mode without pulling logs or opening the door.
Compatibility
This kit integrates directly with STI UB-1 and UB-2 electric strike assemblies. It connects into the 24V power circuit already present in most commercial access control installations running HID credentials or comparable systems. Do not attempt to retrofit this to non-STI strikes or lower-voltage (9VDC) systems—the voltage mismatch will damage the LED assembly.
Installation Notes
The KIT-E10147 mounts via standard terminal connections to the strike's 24V supply line. Verify your power supply can sustain 24VDC across the strike and indicator—undersized supplies or long runs with excessive voltage drop will dim the LED or cause intermittent operation. Position the indicator where facility staff can see it from normal approach angles; mounting it inside the door frame (hidden from view) defeats its purpose. Confirm polarity before final connection—reversed polarity will not illuminate the LED and may create a short if the supply lacks proper protection.
