Overview
The Speco N16WNRN32TB is a 16-channel network video recorder with 32TB of onboard storage, purpose-built for wall-mounted control room and closet deployments where rack space is constrained. It records all 16 channels simultaneously at up to 4K (8MP) resolution at 30 fps per channel, supports H.265 and H.264 compression, and integrates with any ONVIF-compliant IP camera — not locked to Speco models alone. The wall-mount footprint (15″W × 2.83″H × 13.4″D) fits retrofit installations, network closets, and tight server rooms. Includes rack ears if you later need to transition to standard rack mounting.
Compatibility
The N16WNRN32TB works with any IP camera that supports ONVIF Profile S, including cameras from Axis, Hikvision, Uniview, Dahua, and other ONVIF-certified vendors. Speco's own IP camera lineup integrates via plug-and-play discovery wizards for faster setup. H.265 and H.264 codec profiles are handled automatically — no manual transcoding configuration required. Audio is supported via two-way communication (16 local audio inputs, 32 IP audio inputs), enabling intercom functionality if your deployment calls for it. Remote access is built in: free iOS and Android apps, SecureGuard® VMS integration, and free U.S.-based DDNS for off-site monitoring without complex port forwarding.
Installation Notes
Mount the unit on a wall using the included hardware, or use the supplied rack ears to install in a standard 19″ rack if space becomes available later. Power is 12VDC at 5A via an external supply (included). Network connectivity requires two Gigabit Ethernet ports — one for camera traffic, one for remote access — allowing network segmentation to isolate recording traffic from WAN monitoring. Firmware upgrades are available via USB or network without service interruption. The unit operates in standard commercial environments (no extreme temperature specs provided in the datasheet).
