Overview
The N16WNRM12TB is a 16-channel network recorder built into a wall-mount enclosure with 12TB of storage pre-installed — no separate drive purchase or install step before commissioning. It fits deployments where rack space isn't available: back offices, utility closets, retail stockrooms, or any site where a wall-mount NRM cabinet is the only practical option. PoE (802.3af) channels mean camera power and data run on a single Cat5e/6 pull to each device, cutting conduit runs at install. With H.265/H.264 compression on 8MP-capable channels, 12TB covers meaningfully more retention days per camera than H.264-only recorders at the same capacity — a real factor when you're budgeting storage against a 30- or 60-day retention policy.
Compatibility
Built for Speco Technologies IP camera lines supporting ONVIF and PoE, at resolutions up to 8MP per channel. Storage is expandable from the 2TB baseline up to 32TB for sites that need longer retention or higher camera counts on higher-resolution streams. Pair it with Speco's PoE-powered dome, bullet, and turret cameras carrying IR for low-light coverage, and route audio into the recorder via the audio input where a channel needs sound capture alongside video.
Installation Notes
Operating range is rated -10°C to 50°C (14°F to 122°F), so confirm the mounting closet or back-room location stays within that band — this is an indoor-class enclosure, not intended for exposed exterior mounting. The wall-mount housing ships in white, which matters if the unit will be visible in a finished office rather than tucked into a utility space. Recorded frame rate tops out at 30fps per channel, sufficient for standard evidentiary review at 8MP but worth checking against any high-motion scene requirements before finalizing your camera plan.
