Overview

The CNFE1003SAC2-M is a compact electrical-to-optical media converter that bridges 10/100 Mbps Ethernet over single-mode fiber using dual SC connectors. It solves the core problem of extending network range beyond copper cable limits — use this when you need surveillance camera or access control signals to reach a remote building, vault, or outdoor installation 20 km (12 mi) away without repeaters or active equipment in between. The unit is plug-and-play: no field adjustments, auto-negotiates 10 or 100 Mbps, and arrives ready to deploy.

Compatibility

Works with any standard 10/100 BASE-T network source (Ethernet switch port, NVR, PoE injector, router) and any compatible 10/100 receiver on the far end. The RJ45 electrical port supports automatic MDI/MDI-X crossover, so straight-through or crossover cabling both work. On the fiber side, accepts dual single-mode SC connectors — confirm your existing fiber plant uses single-mode (not multimode) before ordering. Compatible with surveillance systems using standard Ethernet signaling: IP cameras, NVRs, access control readers, and managed switches all work transparently with this converter.
