Overview

The SDC 423AU is a 24VDC electronic timer exit switch with adjustable delay (1–60 seconds) mounted on a single-gang stainless steel faceplate. It delivers a DPDT contact rated 3 amps @ 30 VDC, making it suitable for controlling door strikes, magnetic locks, and request-to-exit (RTE) circuits in access control installations. The 2-inch square green/red button lens and code-compliant "PUSH TO EXIT" signage meet standard egress requirements.

Compatibility

The 423AU integrates into any 24VDC access control system requiring an adjustable timed exit button — standard in retrofit and new-build door control architectures. It functions as a standalone RTE device or as part of multi-reader access control panels that supply 24VDC and signal lines. The DPDT contact configuration allows both normally-open and normally-closed wiring schemes, supporting strike control, solenoid unlock delay, and auxiliary signaling across commercial and industrial deployments.
