SDC 100-3 24VDC Solenoid Controller
Overview
The SDC 100-3 is a 24VDC solenoid controller built to drive electric strike hardware in access-controlled door openings. It sits between the credential reader/access panel and the strike, handling the switching load so the low-current output of a control panel doesn't have to drive the solenoid directly. Use it on single-door installs where an HID-based reader or access control panel triggers an electric strike and you need a dedicated 24VDC stage to manage that load reliably.
Compatibility
The 100-3 is rated for 24VDC input, matching the voltage output of most commercial access control power supplies and panels. It's built for use with electric strike hardware and pairs with HID-based credential readers and access control systems already running on a 24VDC circuit. Confirm your strike and reader are specified for 24VDC operation before wiring — mismatched voltage is the most common cause of solenoid controller failures in the field.
Installation Notes
Verify the door circuit is running 24VDC before connecting the 100-3 — it is not a multi-voltage or auto-sensing device based on available specs. Terminate wiring at the controller per the strike manufacturer's gauge and run-length recommendations to avoid voltage drop at the solenoid. As with any door hardware controller, mount it in a location protected from weather and tampering, and test strike engagement/release through a full cycle before closing out the install.
