Description

APC by Schneider Electric AP8632 Switched PDU

Overview

The APC AP8632 is a 24-outlet switched Rack Power Distribution Unit (PDU) designed for vertical 0U rack installation. It provides remote power control and management for network devices, allowing you to cycle power to individual outlets from anywhere via its network interface. This PDU is ideal for data centers and network closets where granular power control and monitoring are essential for IT infrastructure uptime. The AP8632 model specifically uses a NEMA L5-30P input plug and provides NEMA L5-20R outlets.

Compatibility

This PDU is designed to integrate with APC's EcoStruxure IT management platform and various enterprise management systems. It is compatible with standard 19-inch racks and is intended for use with IT equipment requiring NEMA L5-20R receptacles and a 30A, 100-120V power source. The 3-meter cable length is suitable for most standard rack depths.

Installation Notes

The AP8632 mounts vertically in a 0U space within a standard server rack, conserving valuable horizontal rack real estate. It requires a 30A, 100-120V circuit connection via its NEMA L5-30P input plug. The operating temperature range is -5 to 45 °C, suitable for most controlled IT environments. Overload protection is built-in to prevent damage from excessive current draw.
