Description

Vertiv VP4NA2A0 Monitored Rack PDU, 80A 277/480V WYE, 15-Outlet Horizontal

Overview

The VP4NA2A0 is a unit-level monitored rack power distribution unit designed for high-density, three-phase datacenter deployments running 277/480V WYE infrastructure. At 80A input capacity and 66.4kW total load, this unit targets high-draw compute rows — GPU clusters, hyperscale blade chassis, or dense AI-compute racks where standard 208V PDUs simply can't deliver the per-rack wattage needed. The horizontal 1U form factor (3.4" H × 17.1" W × 12" D) drops cleanly into a standard 19" 1U bay, keeping U-space consumption predictable when multiple PDUs are deployed per row.

Compatibility

Designed for Vertiv's Saf-D-Grid Series 400 power ecosystem — the 15 Saf-D-Grid Series 400 outlets are keyed connectors specific to that family, so standard NEMA or IEC C19/C13 cords will not connect directly. Confirm that downstream load equipment is cabled with Saf-D-Grid Series 400 whips before ordering. Input feeds from a 277/480V WYE three-phase source; this unit will not operate on a 208V delta or single-phase feed. Verify your facility's PDU branch circuit is rated for 80A at 277/480V WYE before installation. Compatible with Vertiv's Avocent and Liebert infrastructure management platforms for unit-level monitored data visibility.

Installation Notes

Horizontal rackmount orientation only — the VP4NA2A0 is not rated for vertical or toolless drop-in configurations outside a standard 19" rack bay. At 20 lbs, two-person installation is advisable during slide-in. The 12" depth fits standard 4-post racks without rear-clearance issues; verify cable management arm clearance before final seating. Input termination requires a qualified electrician: 277/480V WYE branch circuits operate at lethal voltage levels. Output voltage is 277V per outlet — confirm all attached equipment supports 277V input before energizing.
