Middle Atlantic PDS-615R Rackmount Power Sequencer

Overview

The Middle Atlantic PDS-615R is a 1U rackmount power sequencer that delivers controlled, staggered startup across six rear-facing NEMA 5-15R outlets — the right tool when simultaneous power-on of a full rack draws enough inrush current to trip breakers or stress UPS gear. With a 15A circuit breaker and a 12A max cumulative load rating, the PDS-615R fits AV racks, surveillance equipment enclosures, and network closets where startup sequencing prevents load spikes. The red front master switch gives operators a clear single-point shutoff for the entire rack without hunting for individual power switches.

Compatibility

Designed for 19" EIA-compliant rack enclosures — fits Middle Atlantic's own rack families (ERK, WRK, PD series enclosures) as well as any third-party 19" EIA rack. The six NEMA 5-15R outlets accept standard 3-prong plugs up to 15A combined; confirm your connected load stays at or below 12A cumulative (80% of the 15A breaker) to stay within spec. Adjustable depth ranging from 6" to 15" means it accommodates both shallow 2-post open frames and deeper 4-post enclosed cabinets without additional hardware. For systems pairing NVRs, managed network switches, and other equipment in a video surveillance rack, the PDS-615R controls startup sequencing across all connected devices from a single front-panel switch.

Installation Notes

16-gauge steel construction supports rack-dense configurations without flex. Depth is field-adjustable between 6" and 15" — set before mounting in the enclosure. Input is a standard NEMA 5-15P plug; no hardwiring required. Keep total connected load at or below 12A to maintain safe continuous operation within the 15A breaker's rated headroom. The built-in vented shelf aids passive airflow — position in the rack where vertical airflow is unobstructed. A 3-year limited warranty applies to the PDS-615R.
