Description

QNAP QSW-L2110-10T-US Lite Managed 10-Port 2.5GbE/10GbE Switch

Overview

The QSW-L2110-10T-US is a lite managed switch built around eight 2.5GbE Base-T RJ45 ports and two 10GbE Base-T RJ45 uplink ports — ten copper ports total, no SFP slots, no PoE. It targets the gap between standard gigabit infrastructure and full 10GbE deployments: workstations, NAS units, and high-bitrate IP cameras that have outgrown 1GbE but don't justify per-port 10GbE switch pricing. The two 10GbE uplinks handle aggregated traffic to core switching or a network switch backbone without becoming the bottleneck. Lite managed means VLAN segmentation, link aggregation, and basic QoS are available without the overhead of a full Layer 3 management stack — a practical fit for SMB and prosumer environments running QNAP NAS systems, edge surveillance, or hybrid storage-plus-workstation segments.

Compatibility

Designed for direct integration with QNAP NAS appliances — including the TVS, TS, and TBS series — that ship with 2.5GbE or 10GbE NICs and benefit from wire-speed throughput without a switch upgrade to full 10GbE. Also suited to any 2.5GbE-capable endpoint: Intel- or Realtek-equipped workstations, high-resolution IP cameras with 2.5GbE interfaces, and multi-gig capable Wi-Fi 6/6E access points requiring a 2.5GbE backhaul port. The two 10GbE RJ45 uplinks connect to upstream managed switches or QNAP units with 10GbE interfaces (e.g. QSW or QXG series expansion cards) using standard Cat6A cabling — no transceivers required. Standard RJ45 on all ports means no media converter or SFP module costs.

Installation Notes

All ten ports are RJ45 copper — 2.5GbE Base-T operates on Cat5e or better; 10GbE Base-T uplinks require Cat6A for full rated distance (100m). No PoE output: cameras, APs, or other powered devices on this switch need a separate injector or PoE switch. Factor that into rack design when replacing a PoE-capable switch. The switch carries lite management features via web GUI; confirm VLAN and LACP requirements against your switching infrastructure before deployment if policy enforcement at Layer 3 is needed.
